Why I’m building it

I love TablePlus. I just wanted more.

TablePlus is a great app, and I use it a lot. But it’s on the pricey side, and it misses things I reach for every day as a developer, starting with a fast way to search across tables, queries and commands.

My workflow is also a bit unusual. I jump between several databases at once, keep my queries next to my code, and increasingly let coding agents help. No database client was built for that.

So I’m building one around how I actually work, and using it as a chance to try something new.

What it does

The everyday parts, done fast.

  • 01

    Quick search

Press ⌘K to jump to any table, saved query, querybook or command.

  • 02

    Fast results grid

Sort, filter and search large results without the UI stuttering. NULL and empty values are always easy to tell apart.

  • 03

    Workspaces with many databases

Group several connections in one workspace. Connection details stay in your keychain, never in shared files.

  • 04

    Querybooks

Queries and charts in a Markdown file you can re-run, diff and keep in git.

  • 05

    Built for agents

A qp CLI and MCP let coding agents like Claude Code query your databases, with your approval before any write.

  • 06

    Safe by default

Results stay in memory unless you opt in, and every agent write is previewed and logged.
